If you’ve taken our ‘Absolute Beginner’s Workshop,’ this Workshop is a ‘next step’ for you! Learn to knit in the round and how to shape with decreases! A great refresher for folks who know how to knit and purl and want to build their skills.

Project: ‘Towards North’ by Asita Krebs

This clever hat features several techniques that add texture and interest to your handknits.  Worked in the round from the bottom up, the ribbing features a half twisted stitch finished with a vikkel braidSlipped stitches on a background of stockinette make up the body and crown of the hat.

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Skills Required:   Basic skills including casting on, knitting and purling.
Pattern:  Please download and print your own copy of the FREE pattern HERE
Yarn Required:  one skein Kettle Dyed ‘Wardrobe’ yarn
Tools Required:  US #7 & US #10 16” circular knitting needles, US#10 dpns, stitch markers

There is homework for this Workshop! Please purchase your yarn, wind it and cast on your stitches before the workshop begins.

Classes and FREE Workshops at Lancaster Yarn Shop must meet a minimum enrollment to be held as scheduled.  Classes and Free Workshops that are under-enrolled will be cancelled or re-scheduled.  If a Class is cancelled, tuition will be refunded.  As always, all yarn, pattern and tool sales are final.
